Privacy policy

No legal entity has been registered for this service. The operator has not yet designated a company name, registered address, or governing jurisdiction. This policy describes the data practices of the service as it currently operates. Once a legal entity is established, this policy will be updated with the entity name, address, and contact details. Until then, no privacy guarantee can be enforced through a specific legal framework.
What data Faviscan processes
Faviscan is a diagnostic tool. When you submit a URL for scanning:
- The URL you submit is sent to our scanner, which fetches the page and its declared icons on your behalf.
- The page content of the submitted URL is read by the scanner to parse icon declarations from the HTML
<head>. The content is not stored or logged beyond the duration of the scan. - The icon files declared by the page are fetched by the scanner to determine their format and pixel dimensions. The bytes are read, analysed, and discarded after the scan completes.
- The scan results (a structured report of icons and their HTTP responses) are returned to your browser. No results are stored on any server.
No accounts, no tracking
Faviscan does not:
- Require or maintain user accounts
- Set cookies for tracking or analytics
- Store scan results or submitted URLs on the server
- Share data with third parties
- Use any analytics or fingerprinting services
Server logs
The hosting platform (Cloudflare) may record standard HTTP request metadata (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) as part of its normal operation. These logs are subject to Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. Faviscan does not access or retain these logs for its own purposes.
Data retention
No scan data persists on Faviscan servers after the scan response is returned to your browser. The service has no database and no persistent storage.
Third-party services
Faviscan loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Google’s use of data in connection with Google Fonts is governed by their privacy policy. No other third-party services are used.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
